Hours: 45 hours per week | 9 hours per day between 06:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday

Salary: between £35,757.81 - £39,757.81 pa DOE

Are you a confident HGV driver with a knack for organisation and a proactive approach to getting things done? We’re looking for a reliable and safety-conscious HGV Driver – Yard Person to join our Aftermarket team in Croydon!

This is a hands-on role that combines vehicle transportation with yard coordination. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our vehicles are delivered safely and our yard remains clean, compliant, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport vehicles to and from customer sites with professionalism and care
  • Shunt and organise vehicles in the yard to maximise space and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and safe yard environment, disposing of waste appropriately
  • Support the workshop team by collecting parts and assisting with vehicle movements
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
  • Be flexible with travel and working hours, including occasional use of public transport for return journeys

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a valid HGV and car driving licence (CPC preferred)
  • Experienced in driving HGVs and working in a yard or vehicle movement environment
  • Knowledgeable about UK driving laws, the Highway Code, and general H&S compliance
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • A clear communicator with a customer-focused mindset
  • Basic computer skills and a forklift licence are a bonus
